Banana Nut Bread

~ Shopping List ~

  • 1/2 cup butter
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 1/8 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 2 cups all purpose flour
  • 3 large bananas, very ripe, mashed
  • 1/2 cup finely chopped pecans/walnuts

~ What to do ~

Cream together butter and sugar.  Add eggs, one at a time, beating after each.  Sift dry ingredients together and add to cream mixture.  Stir in bananas and nuts.

Pour banana-nut bread batter into well greased loaf pan.  Bake at 325 degrees for about 1 hour and 15 minutes or until a wooden toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
